Marc Freccero

Clive Robertson?!

It’s crazy…last year, I was blogging at least a few times a week. Now, I’m blogging roughly once a week (if that). I find that the ROI on blogging isn’t as high as it used to be, however, people still love reading posts. Especially for these recaps, people like them in a quick, digestible format (as oppose to watching the 20ish minute videos that relay the same information). Anyway, there has been an incredible amount going on right now, so much that the thought of getting a good night sleep seems like a scarce commodity at the moment haha.

Jumping right into it, I haven’t been producing as much as I used to because I have a tremendous amount going on with media, but I’ve still been releasing and finishing up new tracks. Even now, I’m finishing up some new songs, preparing for other releases, and I’m already working on two EPs.

First off, here’s a track that I made the night before Cinco De Mayo last month. It came out as a blend of Trap along with Mexican/Spanish vibes:

The next track is one that I did about the famous researcher Dr. Rhonda Patrick. She studies ways to minimize aging, diving into aspects of nutrition, supplementation, fitness, and more. It’s a Progressive House track:

Next is a really heavy remix I did of Skrillex’s classic track Kyoto (featuring Sirah). It’s a blend of Moombahton, Dubstep, and Jungle Terror:

And last – but definitely not least – my track Black Mirror. This track came out really interesting, as it’s the first Deep House track I’ve ever produced, and I went suuuuuper deep on this one:

There’s a lot of music, like I mentioned above, that I’m planning on releasing. I have a stream of remixes I have to do, then I have to produce a song about a comedian (interesting story there!), and then finally getting to my EPs – one of which I’ll be rapping on. Pretty busy haha.

Switching gears to fitness, I’ve been working out like crazy as usual. I’ve finally been inching closer to a Planche Push-Up, and I even did a sloppy one recently (but I wouldn’t completely count that as an official Planche Push-Up). I’ve been training the negatives, which is just the lowering down part. They’re getting a lot cleaner, which means I’m that much closer:

I’ve also started to get into acting a bit more seriously on the side, so I’ve been training acrobatics a lot and really honed in on my tricking and parkour skills. Here are a few videos of moves I’ve been working on:

In addition to all the music I’ve been producing and how much I’ve been working out, there has been an astronomical amount of stuff going on.

First off, I got officially verified on Spotify with that dope blue check mark:

All my social media platforms have been doing amazing as well as my music ones – on YouTube, I officially cracked over 1 Million hits on all my videos. It’s crazy to think, especially because I started YouTube as just something on the side and then it blew up out of nowhere. At the time of this post even I’m at 1,300,105 hits on all my content…pretty crazy:

The good aspect about YouTube is that I’m getting big enough now where I can cover events. I recently went to the MTV Movie & TV Awards, and had an incredible time. I interacted with people like Chanel from Ridiculousness and Tyler from Teen Wolf:

And, of course, I happened to do some Parkour while I was there:

Now after all that happened, I went back to Boston for a few weeks to see friends and family. The main reason I went back, however, was to see Derren Brown perform. In case that name sounds familiar, I wrote a track about him as he’s a magician that blends magic and psychology into his acts. My friend Brittany and I went to New York to see him perform, and he absolutely killed it.

If you’re curious how the show was in general, you can check out my review of his show. After the show, I got to meet him and snag a picture, which was pretty awesome as I’ve followed him for roughly 10ish years now:

What was even more interesting, is that around 1/2am, my phone started blowing up. I was like what’s going on…and turns out Derren posted about me on Twitter. Turns out, he thought that I was Clive Robertson, the famous actor haha. I guess I can definitely see the similarity:

Derren Brown

Pretty awesome night.

The next day we walked around New York and went to the official How I Met Your Mother bar. To be honest…it was a bit of a let down. Here’s my video about the bar and the experience:

Now while I was in New York me and Brittany stayed in an AirBnb, and I just have to say – they are the best to stay at while traveling. We only payed $80 a night for a dope part of Manhattan, and it couldn’t have been better. I even featured it on my Travel Hack series, as it really is an awesome way to stay somewhere nice – and cheap – while traveling.

After being in New York, I bounced around between East Longmeadow (my hometown) and Boston, seeing friends and family while I was home. I’ve also really started to add videos to my new series The Freccero DJ Journey, not only talking about specific techniques I’m doing, but just random stuff that’s going on in my life.

It was good seeing friends and family back in Massachusetts, and then I flew back here to LA. There has been an unreal amount of stuff going on, and much more coming up. Even now, I’m pretty preparing for tomorrow as I got invited to the world premiere of Will Ferrell’s new movie The House.

But, more on that in the next recap post! For now, it’s time to make more music, get ready for all the events, and keep living life to its fullest.
