It’s been an insane journey the past 40 days with this experiment. My body has definitely gone through a lot of changes as the weeks progressed on, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most beneficial experiments I’ve ever done. The health benefits that resulted from drinking this much water were insane, not to mention that water is completely free and you can get it anywhere.
I can’t suggest enough to try this experiment out. To be honest, a gallon of water isn’t a ton – especially if you’re active. I personally know people who do fitness modeling and personal training, and it’s not uncommon for bodybuilders to drink two gallons a day, just because it’s that good for you. As a rule of thumb, you can’t have too much water. To re-cap, here’s my personal pros/cons list from doing this.
Pros: More Energy, Increased Muscle Mass, Fat Loss, Improved Skin, Better Understanding Of Hunger vs. Thirst, and Overall Feeling Healthier.
Cons: Excess Urination, Being Bloated (Only In The Beginning), and Sometimes Being Annoying (Especially If I Had To Chug Water Late At Night).
Overall the experience was amazing, and a big question I’ve gotten is if I’m going to keep doing it. I have a mixed answer: I’m definitely going to keep drinking more water, as I’ve noticed significant changes both mentally and physically. However, I’m not going to force myself to drink exactly a gallon everyday – especially if it’s 9pm and I’ve only had a little bit.
