…Really?? You have One Minute and 50 Seconds Left.

Usually I like to do a re-cap post every month or so, but since things have been absolutely crazy in LA, I wanted to write this sooner rather than later. The amount of events that have been going on is unreal, and want to make sure I remember everything as I’ve been completely non-stop.

First off, I finally released my new album Viva La Entrepreneur. It’s a 5 track album where each track is a musical representation of that entrepreneur. The 5 I decided to pick are: Gary Vaynerchuk, Tim Ferriss, Mark Cuban, Elon Musk and Pasquale Rotella. As you’ll hear, each track is completely different to accurately mimic that entrepreneur’s personality, so definitely check them all out:

If you want to hear my explanation behind each track, check out my full blog post describing each song here: Viva La Entrepreneur. The album has already been getting some attention, as I was featured by Music is My Life, and even Mark Cuban happened to get back to my after listening to my track:

Continuing along with production, I finally released my remix for NGHTMRE’s and Flux Pavilion’s newest track Feel Your Love. I was blown away by this track when I first heard it at EDC, and right away I had a strong desire to put my own spin on it. My remix came out as a hard, heavy-hitting, gritty production that takes the original in my own direction. Check it out here:

Now switching gears to story time, there has been an astronomical amount of things happening. Kicking story time off, I ended up getting in a meowing war with a cat:

I had that meowing war after I got back from the gym, as I’ve been working out like CRAZY. Here are a few pics of how my fitness results have been coming along (sorry if I look like a tool/bro in some of these):

That last picture was actually taken after I made my first Travel Hack video, where I did a full bodyweight arm workout in my hotel room. Travel hacks is a cool new YouTube series I’m starting where I give tons of tips and techniques to make traveling easier and more enjoyable. I’ve finally – after a few years of training – gotten a full Planche. I can only hold it for a few seconds, but now that I’ve finally reached that goal, I’ve been training for my ultimate goal: Planche Push-Ups. I’ve been training in various ways, but one interesting workout that I’ve started doing is Acro Yoga (Yoga with two people). Here are a few cool videos and pictures of me doing Acro Yoga:

Jumping back into story time, the past week was arguably one of the craziest weeks of my entire life. It first started where I got offered two free tickets to a Dane Cook show at the legendary IMPROV. I was able to network well and get both me and my friend front row seats to see not only Dane Cook but Nick Kroll, who also happened to be at the show.

The very next day I got to check out Insomniac’s office, and in case you don’t know, Insomniac is the biggest EDM event company. They put on tons of events, from EDC to Nocturnal Wonderland to Something Wicked and more. Interesting side note: Pasquale Rotella, one of the entrepreneurs I picked for my album, is the owner and creator of Insomniac.

It was amazing to check out the office and meet a lot of people behind the scenes of all the biggest EDM events you hear about. Here is a brief video re-cap I did of both the comedy show and Insomniac:

After Insomniac, me and one of my friends went to Vegas. He had never been to Vegas before, so the first night there we walked along the strip and I showed him a bunch of interesting and unique spots. The very next night was insane, and extremely eventful.

I talked to a few of my promoters and got put on the guest list for Omnia, which is currently the hottest club in Vegas (and arguably one of the hottest clubs in the world now). The club is unreal, as they have 3 rings in the center that spin and pulsate to the music, not to mention lasers and lights everywhere. Afrojack was performing there, and his set was ridiculous – check out the mini-video below:

While I was in Omnia, a very interesting sequence of events happened. I was standing near a table that people were popping tons of bottles of Stoli Elit – the highest ranked vodka in the world. I slowly got closer into their table, which at one point, a guy random offered me a drink. I started drinking and partying with these random people I just met, as their table location was the best in club.

After a little bit, the main guy (who’s buying all this alcohol) looks at me and says: “HEY MAN. I don’t know who the FUCK you are, but I want to you to get out of our table. My friend already gave you a drink, so you got away with that one, but I want you to leave immediately.” I quickly said I had no problem leaving and that I was just trying to watch Afrojack, and his response was something I wasn’t expecting.

He then paused, and asked me: “Are you an entrepreneur?” I had no idea where he got that inclination from, so I was like yea…I guess. He then presented a challenge: “Here, you know what. You seem like you’re good at talking to people. I’ll make this deal with you. If you can come back here in 2 minutes with 4 really hot girls, you can drink and party with us all night.”

Not expecting this at all, I said “…really??” and he quickly took out his phone, hit a stopwatch, and said “You have one minute and 50 seconds remaining.” I quickly bolted out of the booth, ended up finding four girls and bringing them back as quick as I could. After introducing the girls to everyone in the booth, the guy was extremely pumped and started pouring drinks immediately. I ended up partying with them all night after that, which was definitely unexpected.

This past week was extremely eventful as well, as Monday night was my friends Christine’s birthday, so we went out for that. While I was out, I got a text from one of my good friends saying “I got you.” Considering I was out at a bar/club partying, I didn’t know what she meant until the next morning. Luckily, she had put me on the guest list for Skrillex’s new movie, Still in the Cage.

Wednesday night rolled around, and the showing was at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel. The movie itself was really unique and interesting, you can watch it in full here (it’s roughly 20 minutes long): Still in the Cage. After the showing there was a huge after party in the lobby of the hotel with Skrillex, WIWEK, and the rest of the OWSLA crew. Here’s a mini-video I took of the whole experience:

In addition, I’ve been uploading an insane amount of videos and finishing up new tracks. Life has been unreal, and because I like to finish off every post with a motivational/inspiration thought, here’s an interesting quote I heard recently by Aubrey de Grey: “Your future self is watching you right now through your memories.”

What kind of memories do you want your future self to have?
