Driving from Boston to LA

Wow. So now that I’m officially back in LA, it’s crazy to look back on the epic journey that I had getting here. In case you didn’t know, I was in LA last year, then went back to Boston for a few months, and now I’m back in LA. It’s been roughly 4 months since I was last here, and it feels amazing to finally be back.

If you’d rather watch me talk about the adventure (rather than read about it), here are the vlogs that I made about the information in this post!

Kicking this post off, I started my drive on January 26th (the day after Christmas). I initially drove to Nashville, Tennessee as I heard it was absolutely crazy there (Spoiler Alert: It lived up to the hype). On the way down I decided to start a new YouTube series called the Traveling Bucket List where I talk about interesting attractions, bars, food/drinks, and more while traveling. The first one I decided to film was about Banana Coffee – which was actually wicked good:

When I got to Nashville I met up with my friend Allena, and we ended up going out and party the first night I got there:

Everything I heard about Nashville lived up to the hype: The people, the food, the parties and more. I even did a Traveling Bucket List video about Bread & Company – which had the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had in my life.

The next night I went out around Broadway Street, which is the most touristy street in Nashville. Each bar/venue had numerous floors with incredible music and amazing drinks. Even though I was only in Nashville a couple days, I definitely want to go back as it was such an awesome place to check out.

After Nashville I drove to Austin, which was one of the cities I picked for my Light Nearby Project. I ended up spending New Years Eve there, and all I did was party on 6th street (or Dirty Sixth as they call it), and it was one of the craziest New Years I’ve ever had. Here are a couple different videos I filmed about Dirty Sixth and how insane it gets:

Yea…it was pretty nuts. It was the perfect way to finish off 2016 and start 2017 on the right foot. The next day I happened to see what my most popular posts on Instagram were from 2016…pretty random haha:

In addition, I also compiled all my Instagram videos from 2016 into one video. It’s roughly 19 minutes long, so feel free to click around a bit:

After the New Years I also released a new track called Bass Fire, which is a blend of Dubstep and Hard Trap. Check it out here:

I then went and met up with my friends Gabe and Taylor who own Hero Way Strength and Conditioning. It’s hands down the best weightlifting gym in the entire country, as it has incredible people, awesome trainers, and a very unique family vibe that’s second to none.

While I was there I got my first ever Straddle 90 Degree Push-Up, which is getting me one stop closer to a full Planche Push-Up:

I decided to stay an extra week in Austin to get work done and finish up my new album. In addition, right before I left I got entered into their weightlifting competition which was max reps for benching and deadlift. I ended up getting second place, which was pretty awesome considering I just learned the correct form the night before haha.

The next day I drove all the way to Boulder, Colorado – a 14 hour-ish drive that was pretty bad. The altitude, and exhaustion, definitely got to me in the last hour or two but I made it there safely. I’ve been to Colorado a bunch of times as I absolutely love being there because it’s so beautiful and also has one of the best Parkour communities.

I trained at APEX Movement the next day, and I worked on some flips in addition to doing a Planche Workout with a Weighted Vest. Here was a mini promo picture I took after working out there:

I spent a couple days in Boulder, seeing all my friends there, and in addition my friend Ryan introduced me to the show Black Mirror. No joke – it’s some of the best produced and written pieces of film I’ve ever seen. Especially the San Junipero episode, it’s absolutely incredible.

After being in Boulder I drove to Denver to see all of my friends there. On the first day there I happened to release two new DJ Mixes: A Sex Mix and 2017 Promo Mix, you can listen to both below:

The next day we ended up going to Illegal Petes, which is an awesome Mexican restaurant in Colorado. After a couple rounds of Tequila shots at the bar, I ended up talking to the bartender and offered him a shot – which turned into all of us drinking tons of shots, on the house, for the rest of the night (pretty awesome).

The next day we ended up going to Red Rocks, which is one of the most iconic music venues in the country. It was incredible being there as there is so much history there – here is the Traveling Bucket List video I did of it and a pic of me doing a handstand there:

That night I ended up going back to Boulder to party with all of my Parkour friends there, and we had a huge group that just bounced from bar-to-bar. It was a pretty eventful night, as I even had a girl’s brother try and hook me up with his sister by saying “she’s really cute” – yea, that’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever had said to me at a bar haha.

Later on in the weekend we all went to Rocky Mountain National Park, which is where the main photo from this blog post is from. It was incredibly beautiful, as there was 5 feet of snow packed down which made the atmosphere even more mind-blowing. Here is a video from that hike (even though it doesn’t do it justice, even in 4K):

Afterwards we went to Los Chigones, which had some of the best ranked tacos in the entire country (I’m not kidding). They absolutely lived up to the hype, and I got the steak taco and fish taco.

The next day, which happened to be my last day in Colorado, we went to Snooze – which is an incredible breakfast – and walked around Denver. I also went to a dispensary for the first time ever, which was pretty cool. It was extremely nice, and almost reminded me of an Apple store in terms of how nice the layout was and how hi-tech everything was.

Upon the last night, me and 5 of my girlfriends there played a drinking game with Wine while watching The Bachelor. I’ve never watched the show before haha, so it was pretty entertaining (not to mention, we each killed a full bottle of wine).

The next day I began the last part of my journey: Driving to Vegas. After a quick 11 hour drive (that’s nothing compared to what I’ve done), I ended up partying at Omnia Nightclub which is one of the hottest clubs right now in Vegas.

Now I’m officially back in LA, and even though it was an insane journey getting here, the Buck has only just truly begun 🔥🔥🔥
