Drinking A Gallon Of Water A Day For 40 Days: Week 2

***UPDATE: I’ve officially completed this experiment, so check out the results here: Final Results

It’s been two weeks since I started this experiment of drinking a gallon of water a day for 40 days. Week 1 of the experiment was definitely interesting, and now, after doing it for a couple weeks, I’m pretty used to it.

The only negative aspect about the past week is that it’s hard to drink a gallon of water a day when I’m constantly bouncing around. One night, for example, I realized around 9pm that I still had a half-gallon of water to drink, and because I chugged it quickly I ended up getting barely any sleep and peed probably 12 times that night. This was also a couple nights before I realized my debut album The Light Nearby, making it even more hectic.

One question I’ve gotten is if I’m hungover on weekends because I’m drinking so much water. The truth is, as anyone who knows me will say, I never drink beer – only liquor. And when I drink liquor I always chase with water (it’s not as bad as it sounds). Therefore, because I drink a ton of water anyway when I normally drink alcohol, I haven’t noticed any difference in my hangovers.

Another question I’ve gotten is what my exact system is. I drink out of 32oz water bottle, so that means I have to have 4 bottles every day of water. I usually have one in the morning, and then one when I’m working out, which means that by the middle of the day I’m already half-way.

Overall, I’m definitely feeling more energized like I said last week, but it’s tough to say if I have any crazy health benefits besides that. I’m filming a video every week recapping the past week, so at the end of this whole project I’ll release the video to see if there are any noticeable differences after 40 days.
