The Past Two Weeks

No Comments Events

The past two weeks have been absolutely crazy, as things have been ramping up in different areas of my life.

To start off, I officially finished and released my book on The Light Nearby, which I’ve been working on for the past few months. It’s completely free for download, so check it out here: Light Nearby Project E-Book.

In addition, I also started doing Miscellaneous May, where I’m trying something new every single day for the entire month. So far I’ve done everything from wearing a suit all day to drinking two gallons of water to only eating McDonalds, and there’s a lot more to come for this month. It’s definitely been an interesting project so far and it’s crazy to think that May is only a third of the way done.

In terms of these past two weeks, a lot has been happening. A couple Wednesdays ago I saw Eliot Lipp perform at Wonder Bar and he absolutely killed it, as he performed with a live drummer as well:

Continuing along with electronic music, I finally completed all the drafts for my upcoming EP, Slapbet. I decided to make it only 4 tracks, and now that they’re all completed, my next step is to hire vocalists. I want to have the album completed within a month, so I’ll be releasing it sometime in June! Here’s a preview of the last song I compeleted on the track, In N Out:

Switching gears a bit, last week I reviewed the TRTL Napscarf, which is a really cool product that allows you to sleep sitting down. Especially because I travel a lot, I’ll definitely be using the Napscarf because of easy and useful it is. I would suggest checking it out, simply because it’s a really cool product that works a lot better than I originally expected it to.

Jumping ahead to this past week, on Cinco De Mayo, Better Vibes had it’s event with The Funk Hunters. The show was incredible, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that they played one of the best DJ sets I’ve ever heard (and I’ve heard a lot of sets). Here is a brief video I took of them performing, although it really doesn’t do them justice:

Later on, this past weekend, I went to see After Funk perform at Church in Boston (they’re the ones I ended up playing Frisbee with as part of Miscellaneous May). They were incredible, check out this mini video I took of them jamming out:

The next couple days I spent time with family for Mother’s Day, completing out the weekend. This week coming up looks just as crazy, especially because of all the events coming up – can’t wait!
