Cymatics – Signal (Freccero Remix)

No Comments Music

I’m super pumped to finally release this remix I did of Signal by Cymatics. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the original track, but I loved the vocals and really wanted to put my own unique spin on it. This remix blends tons of different styles, combining Moombahton, Future Bass, Classical and Ballad all into one track. Check it out below!

Song Explanation

I really like the way this remix came out, and to be honest, it’s probably my favorite remix that I’ve released so far this year. Like I said above, I wasn’t a huge fan of the original track, but I really do love the vocals.

The first thing I did for this remix is switched the BPM from 154 to 112. I love producing Moombahton, and I really wanted to put a different spin on this track. The original vocals are at 150bpm, so by slowing it down to 112, it gave it a ballad/classical feel along with with a bunch of elements I added in.

The beginning, for roughly the first minute and a half, is really slow and emotional. I blended the vocals with a bunch of different orchestral and cinematic elements, really creating an immersive vibe and ambiance.

I then started looping the vocals for the build, bringing in a ton of different elements all at once to really create a dramatic shift.

On the drop, I blended a Moombahton/Jungle percussion groove along with a Future Bass vocal melody. I then took the synth from the drop of the original track and added a beat delay on the 4th and 8 bars, adding more variation to the drop while still bringing in a lot of different elements from the original.

The track then goes back into a build, which quickly transitions into a second drop.

On the second drop, I keep all the elements of the first one, this time adding some interesting pitch variation to keep it interesting.

Then, as the track begins it’s outro, I bring back the piano from the beginning. This then fades into just the piano and an atmospheric vocal, fading out the track the way it started.
